Well. Its official I guess, the imageboard for nostalgiafags is up.. possibly for good now that the owner is not a college kid with 0 funds. It seems our kuz has added another imageboard to his collection, what is it with him and Mr. Grishin? bah, the scary russian business man buys out another fledgeling internet site, this is to the surprise of.. no one. You anons know this already, but i think perhaps, we should warn heyuri.net users of him? Or maybe they already know. But, i am using heyuri for a long time before kuz bought it. So to my fellow apiru browsers.. i will give you the complete history lesson. On may 24th, kuznetsov was hired as co-administrator for heyuri by american Riley James Bell (but we call him lolico, okay?). It seems as though kuznetsov was working for him before that, referenced by that the very same day, lolico rolled out a "new-software" and kuznetsov had 2 days previously, on may 22nd, said that here on apiru that he would "be very busy for a couple weeks". 2 weeks later, kuznetsov made a newpost. and then another one, he made 4 more throughout june 25 and up until july 11th, however, on july 11th, a catastrophic server failure (which later turned out to have been an act of sabotage by their developer, akima) caused about 1 month of loss, since kuznetsov said that he only backed the servers up monthly. The next day, lolico made a short newpost which goes as follow ( translated to russian for you ) "So I found out I didn't clear my AwardSpace account after we moved to kolyma.jp hosting. Hooray for my lazyness! Some things still may be borken so be sure to report those bugs in /meta/. We worked non-stop to get the site back up so be sure to enjoy it. " The day after, kuznetsov made a massive newspost (in english) about heyuris growth and development. it is too long for me to post it here so you can read: https://www.heyuri.net/#news19 In it he details that his biggest server (yukari) had a crash. Over the next few months, nothing of big interest happens, several new site-memes come up from this, including one of the most popular "wormhole-kun", a seemingly unfixable bug in which posts are re-arranged at random and thread numbers changed to random numbers that do not properly reflect their post count, a gif of a faceless humanoid with the words "WORMHOLE KUN" enscribed on it fucking a anime-style girl called "thread-chan" is posted on the front page, but removed shortly afterwards. Several OC drawings are also made throughout this period and are posted on a page called "OC ARCHIVE". The big news comes in august, when lolico makes an anouncement stating that kuznetsov has been relieved of his position and that he no longer, in any sort, works for heyuri. The userbase is understandably outraged about the loss of kuz, who they view as an innocent helper to heyuri. Why did lolico do it? Well, according to the "official sources", kuznetsov was being forced by akima under threat of blackmail to harm heyuri and other things, lolico says kuz was a "nuisance" and a q&a thread is held about him which reaches 100 replies, a large amount for a small imageboard like heyuri. however, for one reason or another, about half of the replies are deleted by lolico. Kuznetsov is relatively silent until september, where he opens heyuris replacement, "StrawberryHeaven". The site is ran very poorly and uses kuzs outdated software, "kareha++". The site is recieved with mix emotions from the userbase. Thankfully, 3 months after its release, kuz says that he is partnering with lolico to *try* and bring back heyuri. However, the first attempt goes very wrong, and lolico fights with kuz. The 2nd attempt goes better, but still no outcome. Finally, on the 3rd attempt, kuz and lolico announce partnership to work together. Several days later, kuz seemingly brings it back. Nothing is out of the ordinary, however lolico is nowhere to be seen. He is removed from the FAQ, Contact pages, and the WHOIS data shows kuznetsovs information. kuz posts a part gif and embeds a song ( Я валяюсь пьяный на столе by krasnaya plesen, for you unknowers ) on apiru saying he made a "great business adventure today". All this evidence has pointed to kuz buying out yet another small imageboard, i am worried that he will be like grishin and keep hoarding more and more.. perhaps 9ch isnt always enough but it seems to be a conflict of interest for him.. this is the 6th that i tally. I also believe he is responsible for the shutdown of osakaIB.. but that place also says it will restart soon. Do you all notice a pattern? A imageboard recruits kuz or one of his agents as a mod, and then it "shuts down" and comes back under his leadership a couple months later. I wont complain. More imageboards under kuz means less under someone else who might be worse.. but it is a worrying pattern and who knows which place is next. We already know dvach is his playground now.
